Pro at the bike

Abby has been loving riding her bike now that the training wheels are off. She is still riding on the grass until a little more confident. She went to her grandma and grandpa's house and she had to take her bike with her.

No more training wheels

Abby decided tonight that she was a two-wheeler girl. She wanted her training wheels off, so her and her dad practiced tonight.

Coney Island- Balloon Glow

We all went to Coney Island yesterday for the Balloon Glow. Abby was most concerned about riding the rides. I wanted to see the balloons, and Jim was just along for family time. It was fun for a while until the nightmare started. Jim and Abby wanted to ride a particular attraction which had such a long line, so I said I would be right back thinking that they would be there for a while. I went to check on the balloons in the meantime. I went back to the ride and they were gone. I felt like a little kid that had lost her parents. I walked and walked for what seemed like eternity and couldn't find them. I had forgot my cell phone in the car, so there was no way for me to reach them. Finally, I found them at the car. Of course, I was in tears. To say the least, we didn't stay for the balloon glow nor the fireworks. I only got one picture of the balloons which is posted.

Newport Aquarium

Jim, Abby, and I went to the aquarium the other day. The last time we had Abby there (which was years ago) she was scared to death of the sharks. This time, she loved every minute of it. She even pet the sharks (the small ones).

Last day of school and work

Jim and Abby finished up school and work on the same day. I have to say, I'm not sure if that happens very often. Fortunately, Jim has had a great offer in Denver, so we will be heading that way as soon as our house sells. Abby is officially a second grader.

King's Island

We finally made our 1st trip to King's Island for the Summer of 2007. Abby is finally tall enough to ride about anything there. She is over the 48 inch mark. We have been getting season passes here since Abby was about 3 years old. It wouldn't seem like summer without King's Island.

Cousin Kate's graduation

My cousin Kate graduated from high school this past Friday. She graduated from Pine Richland which is near Pittsburgh, PA. She is now heading towards Clarion University of PA (which is where Kate's mom and my mom went to school). Here in the picture is Kate along with my Aunt Kim.

We are very proud of Kate.
